I'm getting ready for the train to PAX East tonight and will be gone for a week (possibly a little longer) so I thought I would post an in progress shot of what I've been working on. I'm still sewing Bulbasaurs to shirts, so this one is taking a bit longer than Sailor Moon did, but here is what I have of my perler bead Sailor Venus!
I can't wait to have all of the scouts done!

Bulbasaur on waste canvas
The fiance and I are going to be in a Pokemon Pub Crawl before PAX East at the end of the week, so I decided to do something to show our team (Bulbasaur!) spirit. I stitched these onto some plain black tshirts. I've never used waste canvas before and now I want to put video game sprites on all of my clothes!

Sailor Mars Day 12
Still progressing pretty slowly, but I've got a 24hour train ride to PAX East next week that will be full of cross stitching (when I'm not playing SoulSilver, of course).

Sailor Mars Day 11 and more fun with perler beads
I ran out of black yesterday so I decided to start filling in her hair. The black and purple have been/are the most tedious parts of this, I'm excited to be getting them out of the way.
I started a project with perler beads, too. I plan to make all of the sprites of the inner scouts from the Sailor Moon Street Fighter Clone and frame them. I'd like to sell it but I think I'll be too attached when I finish it. Here are Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury:

Sailor Mars Days 9-10 and a side project with perler beads
Sailor Mars is moving along kind of slowly, but I should pick back up after these next few days.
This weekend, I pulled out my perler beads and ended up with this:
I want to do something with it, but I'm not sure what so I just hung it on the craft room wall for now.

Sailor Mars Day 8
I had to take a day off, as the future recipient came over for some crafts and (of course) Sailor Moon episodes, but I managed to get a little further today.

Sailor Mars Day 7
I didn't get to work on her as much as I would've liked today, the person I'm making it for came over for some drunk knitting, but I got some more of the skirt and the beginning of a leg finished!
It's getting huge!

Sailor Mars Day 6
Decided to continue with the black. The skirt is starting to show, and I really like the bow.
Sailor Mars Day 5
A torso!
Now I have to decide if I want to continue the black outline or start some color work on day 6. We'll see!

Intro & Days 1-4 of Sailor Mars
Welcome to my craft blog!
I am an avid crafter (and huge nerd) and finally decided to get a blog together specifically to showcase my finishes and works in progress. I love to work with a lot of mediums, as you will see, but my current obsession is cross stitch.
I will start here with Days 1-4 of one of my current works in progress, a (quite large) picture of Sailor Mars from the Japanese anime Sailor Moon. I'm aiming to have her done sometime in April for a friend (who coincidentally shares her birthday with Sailor Mars).
Day 1 - Just a start:
Day 2 - Eyes!
Day 3 - A face!
Day 4 - The beginning of an arm!
Sorry about the weird size differences in the pictures, I've been using my camera phone for quick pics.
I'll be sure to update with my smaller projects and some past ones between days of this one! Hope you enjoy!
